It's official: South Korean manufacturer LG Chem Ltd. will build a battery-cathode factory in Clarksville, Tennessee, with an expected $3.2 billion investment and 860 jobs. By dollar amount, the project ranks behind only Ford Motor Co.'s forthcoming $5.6 billion electric-vehicle campus in West Tennessee for business investment in the state's history, reports Nashville Business Journal's Adam Sichko.
