3M selling Wonewok, its lakeside, 680-acre private conference center in northern Minnesota


3M Co. (NYSE: MMM) is putting its 680-acre conference center and corporate getaway in northern Minnesota on the market, as the manufacturer looks to reduce costs in a companywide restructuring.

The Maplewood, Minnesota-based company, which has controlled the Wonewok conference center for decades, revealed its intent to shed the property on an earnings call in April, as CEO Mike Roman and other executives also shared plans to cut 6,000 workers, including hundreds in Minnesota.
