Jacobs Engineering sells energy business unit for $3.3B


Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) has sold its Energy, Chemicals and Resources segment for $3.3 billion, according to a press release.

The Dallas-based firm, which has a significant presence in Denver, sold the ECR unit to WorleyParsons Ltd., which is an engineering firm based in Australia that provides engineering and project delivery primarily in the energy and resources space. WorleyParsons has its U.S. headquarters in Energy Center II, at 575 N. Dairy Ashford Road in Houston.
