Medicaid budget could be trimmed across the board


The state Medicaid budget may be trimmed by $31.7 million in state and federal funds next year, under a bill pending in the Joint Committee on Ways and Means.

The proposed reduction in the Oregon Health Plan’s rate of growth would translate to $6.7 million less in state general fund dollars and $25 million less in federal funds, according to numbers provided by the Oregon Health Authority. OHP is Oregon's version of Medicaid.
