Medical lab data breach could affect 7,000 Arizona patients

Arizona Dermatopathology, a Scottsdale medical laboratory that specializes in processing patients' tissue biopsies, reported that as many as 7,000 patients could have had some personal data exposed due to an online security incident.

The lab, located at 9060 East Via Linda, is owned and operated by Palm Beach Gardens, Florida-based Aurora Diagnostics. It's the only Arizona lab affiliated with Aurora Diagnostics, which has a network of more than 30 labs around the country.
