Suburb approves request for bigger residential lots


A Birmingham suburb has reached a decision about a parcel of land that used to host one home.

The Homewood Planning Commission approved a measure to divide the eight lots at 212 Mecca Ave. into seven bigger lots, reports the Homewood Star. Bob Easley of EE Edgewood Land Holding LLC had requested the Mecca Avenue lot be divided so he could build houses on the lots.
