Books by the Banks literary festival returns to Duke Energy Convention Center after two-year hiatus


Entering 2022, David Rippe wasn’t sure if Books by the Banks would be able to hold its signature event in downtown Cincinnati. The Covid-19 pandemic shut down the free annual festival – featuring national, regional and local authors and illustrators – in both 2020 and 2021.

“We weren’t exactly sure at the beginning of 2022 where Covid was going to be this time of year,” said Rippe, the nonprofit’s board president.
