Today, Buddy Gray will close his Brucci's Pizza restaurant that grossed $1.5 million annually.
Gray said inflation including utilities, natural gas and rent were key factors in closing his New York-style pizzeria that also served pasta dishes, beer and wine.
It was the last Brucci's in Northeast Florida. All other locations have been closed.
“My rent, to operate in a 2,942-square-foot building, was $7,860 per month,” Gray said.
