Firms based outside the Twin Cities include No. 2 Terracon, Olathe, Kan.; No. 9 Stantec, Edmonton, Alberta; No. 10 Kimley-Horn, Raleigh, N.C.; No. 13 Burns & McDonnell, Kansas City, Mo.; No. 14 HDR, Omaha, Neb; and No. 15 Ulteig, Fargo, N.D. The Twin Cities 24-county metro area includes Anoka, Benton, Blue Earth, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Freeborn, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, Le Sueur, Mower, Nicollet, Olmsted, Ramsey, Rice, Scott, Sherburne, Stearns, Steele, Washington and Wright in Minnesota, and Pierce and St. Croix in Wisconsin. No. 11 HGA incorrectly reported its billings last year, so its prior rank is not included.
