RTP firm cutting jobs in US and Europe, will look elsewhere for cheaper labor


A public company headquartered in Research Triangle Park is cutting nearly a third of its workforce in the U.S. and Europe in its latest round of layoffs.

Science 37 (Nasdaq: SNCE) disclosed plans to trim its workforce by about 140 employees, or roughly 30 percent, as a way to reduce costs. As it cuts jobs in the U.S. and Europe, the company plans to invest in centers in India, Pakistan and Slovakia.
