St. Pete developer sees potential in ‘dinosaur’ strip plazas


When Robert Blackmon took a chance on an aging strip center, his colleagues in commercial real estate told him it was a bad bet. But the former St. Pete City Council member has successfully renovated it — and sees potential in this type of property to solve some of the city's most pressing issues, like food deserts.
