Airbnb visitors deliver about $15M to hosts in KC area


Airbnb guests heading to the Kansas City area last year delivered almost $15 million for hosts on both sides of the state line.

In Kansas, 1,200 hosts statewide earned $7.6 million in supplemental income, with $2.2 million originating in Johnson County, where 24,000 guests stayed in 2018. Johnson County produced the most revenue and visits for the state. The average Kansas host earns about $3,600 annually, according to Airbnb.
