Alewife closes in downtown Baltimore


Alewife, the downtown gastropub known for its extensive craft beer collection, has served its last pints.

The bar and restaurant on downtown's west side at 21 N. Eutaw St. permanently closed Saturday night, according to posts on social media.

"We're leaving tonight having made wonderful memories and some life-long friends," a post on Alewife's Facebook page reads. "We've served some of the best beer in the world to some of the best people in the world."
