I spent five or six years in my 20s moving every year — sometimes multiple times each year — from lease to lease. Each time I would pack up my stuff, clean the apartment and fret over whether I had done the move-out correctly enough to get my deposit back.

I can only imagine the stakes are higher for small businesses moving out when their lease is up. Fortunately, my colleague Lian Bunny over at Buffalo Business First answered the question of what can you take with you when you leave a lease?
