AngeLink women-centric crowdfunding platform raises $4.5 million in seed funding


Crowdfunding platform AngeLink has raised $4.5 million in seed funding.

Headquartered in Naples, Florida, AngeLink was founded by Gerry Poirier, who previously spent 25 years as finance executive with Credit Suisse Bank and now serves as AngeLink's CEO.

Poirier set out to develop a safer, more trusted fundraising resource for women, based on statistics that showed that women organize 70% of all social crowdfunding campaigns and represent nearly 80% of all online donors.
