‘Angry’ and ‘frustrated,’ local leaders call for end to federal government shutdown


The ongoing federal government shutdown is taking a toll on Maryland residents and local leaders are getting fed up about it.

A coalition consisting of four county executives and Baltimore City Mayor Catherine Pugh gathered in Annapolis on Wednesday and called on President Donald Trump and Congressional leaders to reach a compromise to bring the government shutdown to an end. Already the longest shutdown ever, stalemate is currently in its 33rd day.
