Bank of Akron targets fall for Niagara County branch launch


Bank of Akron is moving quickly to open its first branch in Niagara County.

President and CEO Anthony Delmonte Jr. said construction of the Wilson office began last week. The bank is leasing a vacant storefront in a retail shopping plaza that’s adjacent to Woodcock Brothers Brewing Co. at 638 Lake St.

The cost of the project – about $250,000 – includes construction, furniture, fixtures and equipment.
