Barnes & Noble signs long-term lease for Hawaii store

Barnes & Noble has signed a long-term lease for one of its two Hawaii book stores, making what was to have been a temporary location at the Maui Marketplace permanent.

Barnes & Noble (NYSE: BKS) opened the temporary store in a former Petco space at the shopping center in Kahului last year after it closed a longtime store at Lahaina Gateway Center on the other side of the Valley Isle. The bookseller recently renewed that lease on the 14,000-square-foot space for five years.
