Beloved Music Row bar sets closing date


Bobby's Idle Hour Tavern, a Music Row watering hole at the center of Nashville's latest preservation vs. progress debate, will serve its last beer at its longtime home on Jan. 12.

But the decades-old bar may not be gone for good, according to a Facebook post announcing the closure date. The post says the bar will "be resurfacing as soon as we can in a new location," although it doesn't include specifics on when or where the reopening will occur.
