Berkshire hires local diversity guru to new exec role


For months now, Boston-based consultant Malia Lazu has been spending a lot of time around Berkshire Bank’s Financial District headquarters. Going forward, she’ll be there a lot more.

Berkshire’s parent company, Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. (NYSE: BHLB), announced this week that it had brought on Lazu full-time as its chief experience and culture officer, a newly created position. She’ll report directly to Berkshire CEO Richard Marotta.
