Bidders are ‘skittish’ in auction for N.Y.C. metals company, report says


The auction for New York-based manufacturer Arconic Inc. may have hit a snag.

Per The New York Post, "skittishness grew" due to Arconic's aluminum cladding being partly blamed for a 2017 fire at Grenfell Tower, a 24-story residential building in London. Seventy-two people died in the blaze.

Due diligence ahead of final bids showed "liability issues," according to the report.
