Big Slick gives millennials, Gen Z a way to give back on their own terms


Large philanthropic events evoke images of formal sit-down dinners, black-tie galas and rubbing elbows with the city's established elite. But Big Slick Celebrity Weekend, a fundraiser benefitting Children’s Mercy's Cancer Center, completely turns the tables on this formula — giving a younger crowd an affordable, engaging way to give back.
