BizBites: Down to Earth’s new Kailua store includes an expanded deli


Down to Earth’s new Kailua location opens Saturday at Alexander & Baldwin’s retail complex Lau Hala Shops, replacing the original 6,000-square-foot store that had been on Hamakua Drive since 2000.

At 15,000 square feet, the new shop marks the largest for the brand — as well as its largest deli.

Helmed by Deli Manager Shareen Uiagalelei, the new deli adds a wok bar and a pizza station, will feature the greatest amount of cold and hot entrees of any Down to Earth, and will offer a wider variety…
