Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota has promoted Bukata Hayes to vice president and chief equity officer.
In his newly created role, Hayes – who was hired as Blue Cross's first vice president of racial and health equity in March 2021 – will have a greater capability to further integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies into the company's Racial & Health Equity department.
As chief equity officer, Hayes will report directly to CEO Dana Erickson.
