BREAKING: Kansas City Southern, Americo may expand railroad’s offices

Kansas City Southern plans to partner with a familiar downtown office developer in an expansion onto a surface parking lot next to its local headquarters.

The city's Neighborhood Planning and Development Committee next week is scheduled to review a measure through which City Manager Brian Platt could execute a sale and development agreement with the railroad company and Americo Life Inc. for 1.19 acres the city owns southwest of 12th Street and Broadway, near Quality Hill.
