Bud Light’s corn syrup TV ad stops planned beer industry collaboration


There's a growing rift in the North American beer-making industry.

After Anheuser-Busch Inbev ran an ad for its Bud Light beer during the Super Bowl, which lampooned rival beer makers' usage of corn syrup in their products, it sent the beer industry into a tizzy.

The Wall Street Journal reported that a beer industry-wide plan that would have the country's leading brewers working together on a campaign to promote beer drinking has been put on ice.
