Caspers’ plans to convert historic Bayshore estate into social club clear first city council vote

Plans to convert a historic estate on Bayshore Boulevard into a private social club are a step closer to reality after a public hearing that spanned more than six hours Thursday evening and stretched into early Friday.

Tampa City Council approved both a rezoning and a special use for alcohol for 4621 Bayshore Blvd., the century-old Stovall-Lee home, in a vote that was handed down just after 1 a.m. Friday.
