National media giant Meredith laid off 200 employees amid organizational changes announced Wednesday, including ones that impact Birmingham employees at the former Southern Progress and Time Inc. campus.

A spokesman for Meredith said about 25 workers will be laid off in Birmingham. The company will still employ more than 200 in the Magic City after the cuts, and 7,500 total employees in its entire footprint.
