Queen Kapiolani hotel to reveal $35 million renovation in October: Slideshow
The Queen Kapiolani Hotel has set an expected date of Oct. 23 for the reveal of its newly revamped property following a $35 million renovation.
In addition to all new public spaces and guest rooms, the project will bring two new dining options: Knots Coffee Roasters, which opened in June, and pool terrace restaurant Deck, slated to open in early October. Japan-based Plan Do See is behind both concepts.

A new retail bakery focused on high-end bundt cakes is proposed for Fox Point.
Husband and wife duo Abed and Brittany Khatib plan to open a Nothing Bundt Cakes franchise this winter. The bakery would sell cakes, along with associated retail goods like plates, cups and knick-knacks, Abed Khatib said.
