The new Guinness brewery in Baltimore County is getting ready to open its gates to the public.
The brewery — Guinness' first on American soil in 64 years — has set a grand opening date of Aug. 3, brand ambassador Ryan Wagner said Wednesday. Rising property taxes force closure of Austin Java on Barton Springs
Austin Java will close its location at 1608 Barton Springs Road on July 1, pushed out of the urban core by rising property taxes.

Original ChopShop lands credit for expansion
Health-conscious restaurant chain Original ChopShop is ready for its next move in its growth plan after securing a senior credit facility from BBVA Compass.
