Lake Superior Brewing Co. expands production, begins canning its beers
Lake Superior Brewing Co. is expanding its production and its reach in the Twin Cities and beyond.
This month, the Duluth-based brewery began canning two of its beers: Kayak Kolsch and Mesabi Red — its first attempt at canning since the brewery started doing business in 1994.

Tacos are on tap for the former Bruegger's Bagels shop in downtown Milwaukee.
A new counter-service eatery called The Angry Taco is in the works for the 2,500-square-foot space at 753 N. Water St., which has been vacant since the bagel chain closed in December 2016. Hawaii Starbucks stores close for nationwide anti-bias training (Photos)
More than 65 Starbucks stores in Hawaii closed early on Tuesday as part of a company-wide anti-bias training, which will take place at more than 8,000 company-owned U.S. locations.
Licensed locations, located at grocery stores or airports, remained open.
Starbucks' decision to hold the training for 175,000 of its employees comes after two black men were arrested after waiting to meet a friend at one of its Philadelphia locations last month.

A Boston-based celebrity burger chain's first KC-area location will be in Olathe.
Walhburgers — owned by Paul Wahlberg in partnership with his brothers, actors Donnie and Mark Wahlburg — will “open soon” a freestanding location at 11935 S. Blackbob Road as part of a franchise deal with Hy-Vee. The location previously has housed Dodge City Distillery and On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina.

German Village’s destination deli adding a new restarurant
A classic Columbus food name is expanding.
Katzinger’s Delicatessen will add a third deli in the fall at 7154 Muirfield Drive in Dublin. It’ll be the first, but possibly not the last new addition for the 34-year-old brand, which was founded by Diane Warren in German Village in 1984 and acquired by Columbus-based restaurant group CityBrands in 2016.

Mario Batali's three Las Vegas Strip restaurants will shut down July 27, The New York Daily News reports.
Batali & Bastianich Hospitality Group partner Joe Bastianich sent a letter to nearly 300 workers about the closures of Carnevino Italian Steakhouse, B&B Ristorante and Otto Enoteca e Pizzeria at The Venetian and Palazzo resorts, per The Daily News, adding that he promised to visit the restaurants to speak to employees.

Tavistock to build pop-up shipping container food truck park in Lake Nona Town Center
The Lake Nona Town Center is getting a new addition foodies will rejoice over: a food truck park made of shipping containers.
Tavistock Development Co., under the related entity Lake Nona Land Co. Casino kerfuffle in Cripple Creek; lawsuit is filed
Cripple Creek is the site of a duel over casinos, with a lawsuit being filed.
It started when Full House Resorts Inc. of Las Vegas received city approval to expand its Bronco Billy's Casino and Hotel in Cripple Creek. The Denver Business Journal reported in March that Full House will buy and refurbish the adjoining Imperial Hotel, build a 286-space parking garage, and refurbish and re-open the Imperial Casino.
