Denise Morrison, chief executive of Campbell Soup Co., has retired from the position she's held for seven years.

Morrison retired as president, CEO and director of the soup company, effective Friday, and she will be replaced by Keith R. McLoughlin, who will act as interim CEO, Campbell announced on Friday morning.

Morrison became president and CEO of the Camden, N.J.-based soup company in 2011, the first woman to the lead the company.

Chick-fil-A is raising its investment in scholarships by nearly two-thirds.

The Atlanta-based chicken sandwich chain said it will award $14.5 million in scholarships this year to employees, up $5.7 million from 2017.

It said employees “who are beginning or continuing their higher education” will be awarded scholarships of either $2,500 or $25,000.

BJ’s Wholesale Club Holdings Inc. is planning an initial public offering after being privately held for the past seven years, the Boston Business Journal reports.
