Sculpture Milwaukee’s first artworks already capturing attention downtown: Slideshow


Passersby stopped along the Milwaukee River to watch the team of artists construct a large lumber structure, pounding together its beams with a big wooden mallet.

The assembly of "Skew," a sculpture by Milwaukee artists Shana McCaw and Brent Budsberg, happened on Friday. The completed work, inspired by the slanted angles of deteriorating Wisconsin barns, will stand almost 14 feet tall and nearly as long.
