John Zapp has been replaced as chairman of the board at Chuy’s Holdings Inc. after he was arrested for allegedly punching his wife in the face.

Zapp, who resigned from the board of the Austin, Texas-based Tex-Mex restaurant chain on May 9, was jailed on April 23 and charged with assault family violence, the Austin American-Statesman reports. The arrest stemmed from a March 18 incident when Zapp allegedly hit his wife following an argument in the car, according to a police affidavit.

A new farmers' market is coming to a Birmingham suburb.

The Mountain Brook Farmers Market is set to open June 2 in Mountain Brook, according to Bham Now. The Mountain Brook City Commission approved the weekly event being held at Mountain Brook Presbyterian Church.

The new farmer's market will feature Alabama-based growers and producers.

Mountain Brook Farmers Market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

Mountain Brook Presbyterian Church is located at 3405 Brookwood Road.

Welcome Diner, the popular restaurant along Roosevelt Row in Phoenix, will be closing up shop and moving its location a few blocks south.

Diner owners posted on its Facebook page over the weekend they were unable to come to a long-term agreement with its landlords for the parcel. The post said the diner would stay open through May 13.

Asian Food Fest has returned to Cincinnati’s Washington Park for its eighth edition.

The annual celebration held from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday features regional restaurants and food trucks showcasing a variety of Asian dishes.
