Carroll Ung, the owner of popular Hawaii restaurant chain Fatboy’s, has been charged in the U.S. District Court for failing to file general excise tax returns in tax years 2010 and 2011.

Both Ung as an individual and Carroll Ung Restaurant Group Inc. were charged with two counts each of violating Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 231-35.
