Burger and self-serve beer concept coming to former Kings Wine Bar space
A beer and burgers concept with self-order kiosks and beer wall is moving into the former Kings Wine Bar space in South Minneapolis
Tap Society is taking over the building at the corner of 46th Street and Grand Avenue and will open in June, owner Mike Fritz said. The concept, which has been doing a series of pop-up events at Cave Vin, will serve affordable burgers, fries and beer. Quarter-pound cheeseburgers will start at $5.25, for example.

Frisch’s unveils remodeled Mainliner, corporate museum: PHOTOS
Frisch’s is making the old new again and celebrating its history with the reopening of its original restaurant and a corporate museum.
CEO Jason Vaughn unveiled the newly remodeled Mainliner at 5760 Wooster Pike to 200 retirees and employees on Wednesday ahead of its opening to the public on Thursday.

Cargill expanding Minnesota egg processing operation
Cargill continues to invest heavily in its North American protein operations.
The company announced Wednesday a $20 million project to increase capabilities and capacity at its egg processing plant in Big Lake, Minn.
With this comes an expected employment increase of around a dozen positions.
Construction will start in May and should be completed in January.
The Big Lake expansion is part of nearly $900 million Cargill has invested over the past two years to expand its protein business.

Grand Texas to open water park and adventure park in June
Grand Texas Sports and Entertainment District will open its long-awaited water and adventure parks in New Caney this summer.
Big Rivers Waterpark and Gator Bayou Adventure Park will open their gates June 29, according to a press release. Grand Texas has also begun selling tickets online, including an annual pass that offers unlimited access to the park and discounts on merchandise and other activities.

Downtown Houston’s tallest residential tower to add restaurant tenant
Downtown Houston’s tallest residential tower is adding a restaurant to its mix.
Coterie will open this summer in a 1,500-square-foot space inside Market Square Tower, a 40-story apartment tower in downtown Houston, according to the press release. It’s the tower's second retail tenant announced so far.
The release describes Coterie as “deliberately personal and uniquely Houston,” and it will “mirror the energy of downtown Houston’s resurgence.”

Phoenix is one of the best places to live in the U.S., according to a new ranking.
U.S. News & World Report this week published a list of the best places to live, ranking the top 125 cities using five categories: desirability, value, job market, quality of life and net migration, assigning an overall score out of 10.
With an overall score of 7, Phoenix landed at No. 19. That's a big jump from last year, when Phoenix was No. 44 on the U.S. News & World Report list.

New York City food service supplier to open Ohio location
A New York City-based food service supplies retailer will open its first Dayton-area location.
Restaurant Depot will begin construction of its Harrison Township location at 3700 Keats Drive this month, according to a news release. The 55,000-square-foot store will employ about 40 people, and the retailer is investing about $7 million to build the facility.
