Canterbury Park sells Swervo land for Shakopee amphitheater
Canterbury Park Holding Corp. has sold 37 acres of land to an entity related to Swervo Development for $8.8 million. The deal sets up plans for a 19,000 square-foot amphitheater, with construction expected to begin this spring.

Covington’s Carnegie arts center names Matt Distel executive director
The Carnegie, a multidisciplinary arts venue in Covington, has named a new executive director.
Matt Distel was appointed to lead the organization on April 27, bringing nearly 30 years of experience as a curator and arts administrator. He succeeds Kimberly Best, who exited as executive director in December 2022 to take a community relations role with Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
