Covington’s Carnegie arts center names Matt Distel executive director


The Carnegie, a multidisciplinary arts venue in Covington, has named a new executive director.

Matt Distel was appointed to lead the organization on April 27, bringing nearly 30 years of experience as a curator and arts administrator. He succeeds Kimberly Best, who exited as executive director in December 2022 to take a community relations role with Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Distel has served as the Carnegie's exhibitions director since joining the organization in 2013.…
