Century-old Pacific Heights home moved by boat now up for sale in Belvedere


A home that once stood in San Francisco's Pacific Heights is now being marketed for sale in Marin County.

The story begins in 1904 when 1818 Broadway was built by William Knowles for Herbert C. Moffitt, a doctor with extensive foreign travel and medical experience who was appointed by the University of California Regents to oversee the reorganization of its medical school (some of UCSF's buildings still bear his name today).
