Citizens sue Arvada city hall over ‘$30 land deal’


A controversial land deal in Arvada aimed at building transit- oriented development near the city's soon-to-open commuter rail line is winding up in court.

A grassroots group called Arvada for All the People, which has opposed the project, has filed suit against the city of Arvada in another attempt to block the project.

The developer, Dallas-based Trammell Crow, proposed to build a six-story, 256-unit apartment on the site back in 2013.
