Coca-Cola introduces its first drink with alcohol


The Coca-Cola Co. introduced its first alcoholic drink in the company’s history in Japan, a fizzy, lemon-flavored version of a popular low-alcohol beverage called “chu-hi.”

The Coca-Cola product, Lemon-Do, is available in 3 percent, 5 percent and 7 percent alcohol versions, Brand Channel reported, with the lower-alcohol versions targeted towards women.

Chu-hi are canned drinks made with a distilled grain-based alcohol and carbonated water and flavored with fruit juice or other flavors.…
