Concord apartment fire fits disturbing trend of arson at major construction sites, expert says


The first residents were supposed to start moving into the new Renaissance Square apartments this fall in downtown Concord until a Tuesday morning fire ravaged the mostly complete development.

Now, it could take at least another two years for those units to hit the market, if the project is rebuilt. Developers Legacy Partners and SyRES Properties have not said if they will restart the project.
