Construction crews have now started working on the Country Club Plaza's future Nordstrom site, which is slated to open in 2021.
Nordstrom, which currently resides in a 200,000-square-foot space in Overland Park's Oak Park Mall, will relocate to the Plaza. Its new facility will include a six-story garage and a 122,000-square-foot store. The Plaza move marks an opportunity to right-size its store and leverage an omnichannel shopping experience that's more aligned with today's shopping patterns.
