Construction underway on senior-living building in Golden Valley


Construction is underway on a $26 million senior-living facility in Golden Valley.

The project, called Global Pointe Senior Community, is a five-story, 99-unit apartment building that includes 20 independent-living units, 48 assisted-living units and 31 memory-care units.

The site, at 5200 Wayzata Blvd., was recently awarded $315,819 in pollution-cleanup funding by the state's Department of Employment and Economic Development, the department said in a release.
