CoreLife Eatery, known for greens-, grain- and broth-based dishes, opening first Florida restaurant in Tampa

A Rhode Island-based Burger King franchisee is bringing health-focused fast casual restaurant CoreLife Eatery to Florida, beginning with a location in the Tampa suburbs.

CoreLife Eatery will open at 13149 N Dale Mabry Highway, Suite B, in a shopping center anchored by The Fresh Market and Keke's Breakfast Cafe. It is the first of at least 32 locations — potentially up to 60 — that Rhode Island-based Jan Cos. has agreed to bring to Florida.

It will open at 11 a.m. on Oct. 5.
