Craig Hirai named Honolulu’s chief of affordable housing strategy

Hirai, who begins in his new role on Dec. 1, was the director of the state Department of Budget and Finance, and previously served as executive director of the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corp. from 2013 to 2019.
