The Crocker Art Museum chose Seattle-based architecture firm Olson Kundig and San Francisco-based landscape architects Surfacedesign Inc. to design a new $40 million event center, gallery and parking structure in front of the museum.
In April, the museum put out a request for design services to create a public, art-focused gathering place with a multilevel parking structure. In response, the Crocker received more than 50 submissions from design firms from around the world.
