CVS, Wallgreens, Walmart agree to opioid settlement; Washington sues to stop Albertsons payout: The National Observer Nov. 11, 2022

A number of pharmacy giants have cut litigation with insurers short as they agree to pay out more than $10 billion under a settlement framework meant to resolve claims that they contributed to the opioid epidemic.

Meanwhile, Albertsons has run into a roadblock as it looks to pay out a $4 billion dividend, as the state of Washington is suing the company to stop it from doing so as its acquisition at the hands of Kroger is under antitrust regulatory review.
