Dallas-based senior care company files for bankruptcy


A Dallas-based operator of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities filed for bankruptcy this week, citing “burdensome debt levels and expensive leases.”

Senior Care Centers, which accommodates almost 10,000 residents and employs roughly 11,000 workers at more than 100 locations in Texas and Louisiana, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas, according to a news release.
