Dallas-Fort Worth led nation in residential building permits last year, but momentum is slowing

Fast-growing Dallas-Fort Worth racked up the highest number of residential construction permits in the nation last year when both single-family and multifamily units are factored in. The Houston metro area came in second, followed by New York City.
